Hello everyone! welcome to my channel As you can see today I am in a different place I am on the kitchen table and my mom is with me This kind of Midori you are watching was done by myself I did it specially to use it on the go when I am out from home it is my way to transport some papers, photos, some ephemera, washi tapes, it is a fast way to carry out all the items needed to make my journalling anywhere I love to scrap with my mom you are not going to believe it but this video is a 3 hours session and because we had to stop to take lunch. JL came and said: “hey, we have to make the bbq” if he hadn’t told us that, we would probably continued there πŸ™‚ As you can see I am following the same steps I always do, glued the pictures, I made a little watercolor draw, and I am going to use this embroidery that I printed out from an Etsy picture I recommend you to go there and visit the shops who sale this kind of things they use to upload really great pictures and we can use them to print it and use it in our journals and the best thing is that we can get it for free! I will give you the link to the Etsy shop that I always visit to get this pictures. Once all the pictures, and the journalling is done I start to embellish the pages Now that the watercolor draw is completely dry I draw some lines with my pen Hey! look at me! I am writing down the date! (good for you Sheila πŸ˜‰ with all these little details these Kali’s pictures would be done I have these pictures with wild flowers that I picked up like a month ago I published it on my IG I had to wait a lot because there was a lot of humidity so I had to wait for a long time But finally I can use it now but the problem is that the dry flowers are at home So here I will only work with the pictures and later I will add the real dry flowers I admire these wild flowers which just grow by their own I really think they are so beautiful Even better when you make a whole bunch Don’t you think so? I think they have a very special beauty This picture is from a tree which I can find close to home and I had no idea about his name So I made a picture and tried to find it on google and I found out that its name is Robinia pseudoacacia / black locust but please look at those colors the contrast between the fucsia and the lime green It is so beautiful Here I used the other half doily so I dont accumulate more scraps I also saved into my Midori a couple of pictures they were leftovers from his Ghana trip signature and this one from the last time we were together at the fruit market It is a way to use these kind of pictures even though they are in a different book already These are the last pictures I took with me So there is nothing else I can do here, Now I would really love to show you what my mom was doing she was playing with some pictures from the party I made for her in a park on Mother’s day I made this cake It is a red velvet covered with fondant I made all the roses with fondant as well of course they are not perfect but the end result was really cute I made flower banners to decorate the trees Here you can see the inside of the cake It was really delicious, you know, if it has a pound of sugar it will taste good for sure all made her so happy and I think it was all a success Of course she loves flowers So any present related with roses or flowers is a good present for sure this is the following day at home Now I will include the flowers this is how they were inside the book you can see the wrinkle on the book pages because of the humidity they had Here they are now, I will place them on the left page place them in a beautiful way Please look at this little baby, don’t you think this is the cutest thing ever? I loved how this flower dried so I decided to place it alone on the right page this time I am gong to use to cover the flowers, a transparent plastic used to cover books, lining of books, that is big enough to cover the whole page The pages are finished now I am thinking that maybe you want to see the Midori I made with a little more detail see how I organized the inside to be able to journal on the road if you want to see it please leave me a comment and without any doubt I will record a quick video showing you this handmade Midori you know you just need some fabric and cardstock and they are super cool This is the end of this video thank you so much for your support I hope you enjoyed it, I send you a big hug and See you very soon
